Troubled Times
(Mark Barker)

In these troubled times we live in common sense is hard to find
If the truth be known it's like the whole wide world has lost it's mind
Human hearts are filled with hatred and our streets are filled with crime
It’s plain to see we live in troubled times

Chorus :
Troubled times, troubled times
Lord the best mankind can do ain’t worth a dime
The destruction is in our hands, but the healing is in Thine
I pray Jesus sees us through these troubled times

We have politicians who would sell their soul to keep their power
While revisionist historians sit in their ivory towers
Poverty is on the rise and charity is in decline
It's evident we live in troubled times

Repeat Chorus

There are lawyers trying to make a mockery out of the law
Hardened criminals are set free while the judges hem and haw
Our society's imploding, there's no reason there’s no rhyme
It's just the fact we live in troubled times

 Repeat Chorus
